01 Start Here · Eligibility

Who Qualifies for Credentials

Media credentials are reserved exclusively for working members of the media in the automotive industry, or those who cover small business or another relevant topic. You likely qualify if you can provide qualifying materials from the last 12 months:

  • Published editorial with your name in the byline.
  • A published photo credited to you.
  • A website link to an article with your byline.
  • A YouTube video credited to you.

Please note: prior-year approval does not guarantee future approval. Public relations, marketing and advertising personnel representing manufacturers do not qualify, nor do video production companies representing exhibitors or those who charge companies for coverage. Misusing media privileges can result in revoked credentials and a ban from future Shows. See the Media FAQ.

06 Before You Shoot

Policy Reminders

Photography & Video

Photography and video of exhibitor booths and products require the exhibitor's permission. No permit is needed for still photography. Professional-grade video requires a video permit — select the video option when applying for credentials. Questions: pr@sema.org.

Drones / UAVs

Due to the proximity of Harry Reid International Airport, FAA regulations prohibit drones and UAVs of any kind at the Las Vegas Convention Center. They are not allowed at the Show and will be confiscated until show end (after the SEMA Cruise).
