Mecum Auctions Returns to SEMA Ahead of Annual Las Vegas Auction
Main Attraction Consignments for Las Vegas and Kissimmee Auctions to be on Display

Walworth, Wis. – Nov. 26, 2022 – Mecum Auctions, the world’s largest collector car auction company, is set to return to SEMA in Las Vegas this week with several main attraction consignments in tow. Once again occupying its prominent outside exhibit position at SEMA, the auction company will have several high-profile consignments from the upcoming Las Vegas 2022 and Kissimmee 2023 auctions on display in front of the Mecum Mobile Experience unit in the parking lot of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
In addition to the vehicles, Mecum Auctions consignment agents will be on-site to assist with securing consignment positions for upcoming auctions, offer discounts on bidder registrations, distribute merchandise items and support activities with Mecum’s broadcast partner MotorTrendTV.
Mecum Las Vegas 2022, the 13th of 14 collector car auctions on Mecum’s 2022 schedule, will take place this Nov. 10-12 in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s North Hall. An estimated 1,000 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, exotics, trucks, Hot Rods, customs and more are expected to cross the auction block over the three days, with portions of the auction set to be broadcast on MotorTrendTV and MotorTrend+.
Among the Mecum consignments on display at SEMA are a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible (Lot S122) headed to the upcoming Las Vegas 2022 auction. The result of a frame-off restoration, the ’57 Chevy features a new-generation LT1 crate engine placed into an Art Morrison chassis, with a 4L60 transmission rowing through the gears and Wilwood disc brakes providing stopping power.
Meanwhile, Mecum Kissimmee 2023 cars set to be on display include a rare 1969 Chevrolet Dick Harrell COPO Camaro (Lot R404) and a Chip Foose-customized 2021 Ford Bronco First Edition (Lot R678) to be offered at no reserve with proceeds from the sale benefiting the Gary Sinise Foundation. The Dick Harrell Camaro’s current owner purchased the car in 1994 from Rick Lenane, a member of the Gibb/Harrell DNA racing team of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. The only known example in Rally Green, the COPO Camaro is the result of a comprehensive, frame-off restoration completed to factory specs, with only test miles added since its completion.
As for the Gary Sinise Foundation Bronco, the SUV features custom graphics and a Challenge Coin motif created by Chip Foose and his team at Foose Design, along with custom-embroidered headrests by Absurd T-Shirts Embroidery featuring the Gary Sinise Foundation logo. The car was originally donated by Sunbelt Rentals to the Gary Sinise Foundation, which honors veterans, defenders, first responders, their families and those in need by creating and supporting a variety of unique programs designed to entertain, educate, strengthen and build communities.
Mecum Kissimmee 2023 is the world’s largest collector car auction, with 4,000 vehicles projected for the Jan. 4-15 event at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Fla. With $217 million in sales, Mecum Kissimmee 2022 was the highest-grossing collector car auction ever and is regarded as the preeminent market indicator, as more than 3,300 consignments were offered during the 11-day auction last year.
