American-Made newcomer ushers in a new era in trailer connectivity with an industry-first wireless connector.

After 8 years of extensive research and over 20 prototypes, Transit Owl Inc has
engineered the world’s first and only wire-free trailer connector; The Scorpion
Connector™.

A family-owned company, led by Daniel Cardenas and his two daughters, Transit Owl
Inc makes its SEMA debut November 5-8, 2024, in the North Hall at booth 11875 as a
new and featured exhibitor.

Context: Every vehicle that tows from class I to class IV, regardless of year, make or
model, regardless of the operator’s skill, social class, or towing purpose, is forced to use
the same antiquated wire harnesses that have been used for the past 100+ years.

These wire harnesses are prone to pinching, yanking, and tangling and are the source
of frustrations, traffic citations, accidents and delays from faulty electrical connections
that fail to light up turn signals, brake lights, or reverse lights.

“I am 69 years old and have spent my entire life working in the automotive industry,”
says founder and CEO, Daniel Cardenas. “Astonishingly, these wiring frustrations have
been with me that entire time. And I am far from alone. I often wondered ‘how is it
possible that a better alternative does not exist? I realized that if I wanted a solution that
would truly help the millions of people who trailer every day, a solution that would
enable any user to simply drop their coupler, latch it and go, then I would have to
engineer it myself.”

At SEMA this year, Transit Owl Inc officially debuts Daniel’s Scorpion Connector™ to the world and launches a new era of trailering.

Here is why the Scorpion Connector is a major step forward for the automotive industry.
The first is because of its radial socket design. Half of the connector is installed onto the
coupler, and the other half is installed on the receiver. Both are protected by nylon
composite collars, exclusively engineered for high performance and durability. The
receiver collar features gold-plated electrical tracks on which the coupler’s collar glides
seamlessly, ensuring electrical connectivity throughout any journey. It is impervious to
any pinching, yanking, or tangling. There simply are no exposed wires.

The second reason is because the connector kit includes a single, custom hitch ball,
designed, and patented by Daniel, capable of withstanding weights up to class IV
(including heavy duty, up to 18,000lbs). This officially eliminates the need for multiple
and varied hitch balls; This has never been done.

The Scorpion Connector is a true ‘drop it, latch it, and go’ solution,” says Cardenas. "It
can withstand extreme temperatures and harsh elements, such as rain, snow, mud,
grease, and salt. Anyone who has ever tried to connect a trailer knows the frustrations
of broken and twisted wiring. We set out to create a simple solution that revolutionizes
the towing industry, and we did exactly that.”

Transit Owl Inc is a proud member of the Specialty Equipment Market Association
(SEMA) and the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM) and is displaying
the Scorpion Connector™ at SEMA 2024 in the North Hall, with ‘Featured & First Time’
exhibitors at Booth 11875. Stop by and meet Dan Cardenas, the founder and creator,
and see a demonstration of the product in action!
