The first, PentaKur, was developed after many attendees at SEMA 2023 asked if the TopDog-V process (a 2008 SEMA New Product First Runner-Up) could be modified to solve the well-known Pentastar engines endemic problems of filter housings leaks, cam/rocker arm failure and hot running engines. The patent pending modified aluminum housing fixes the oil leaks, the advanced filtration system removes recirculating debris from the engine oil reducing cam/rocker arm failure; and the cooler reduces hot running engine temperatures. The Pentakur system adds engine oil volume, and the oil inside the system helps keep the engine primed to reduce time to oil pressure and damage at start. The second product, FilterPuck, according to PPI CEO Bob Hammer, PhD, is “a patented magnetic filter that is placed between your spin-on oil filter and the engine block. It fits any engine equipped with a regular spin-on filter, attracting and retaining ferrous debris.” FilterPuck consists of an adapter, ridiculously powerful reusable Neodymium magnets with field concentrator caps at each pole, a nipple, and an oil system access port. “For those who are interested in simply removing recirculating ferrous material, this is a great option,” according to Dr. Hammer. “As oil passes near the concentrator capped magnets, iron and other damaging ferrous debris is trapped and retained in a surge free ‘quiet zone.
