Hamaton, a leading manufacturer of TPMS products, has launched an aftermarket BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) sensor exclusively for Tesla vehicles. The U-Pro Hybrid BLE is a direct replacement for the Sysgration BLE sensor - the only OE sensor to employ the said technology. An alert is sent to the ECU via BLE when air pressure drops, triggering the TPMS light. BLE sensors are found in the Model 3, S, X and Y.* According to Experian’s registration data, some 113,882 Tesla vehicles were registered in Q1 2022 (up 59% year-on-year), which accounted for 71.8% of the BEV market. The sudden rise in popularity has seen demand for an aftermarket sensor soar as more and more tire shops encounter Tesla vehicles. The U-Pro Hybrid BLE is preprogrammed for Tesla vehicles, meaning technicians can skip the programming step.
