Flat Out Autos breaks new ground again this year at SEMA with a brand new 2022 GMC Jimmy conversion, this idea began by looking back at the formula GM used with the K5 Blazers & Jimmys with the “Square Body” K5’s. Flat Out Autos executed that same formula starting with a brand new in the wrapper single cab 2022 GMC Sierra. The only configuration offered with a V8 is with a long bed, the chassis is shortened utilizing all the factory suspension components in preparation for the 5’-8” short bed. The front of the bed and the back of the cab are opened and structurally welded for a true “uni-body”. The removable rear roof blends seamlessly with the single cab, with large flush quarter glass and a curved rear hatch that follows the contour of the multi-pro tailgate. The fiberglass shell is built specifically for Flat Out’s conversion and utilizes mounting points along the bed rails and the back of the cab. Seating in the rear with power folding seats and a roll bar for added structural rigidity along with the safety of the rear passengers. The rear is finished with carpet and molded trim panels on the sides for an OEM finish. Upgraded suspension components from Fox and BDS 3.5" lift kit, Amp Research Steps, Corsa Stainless Exhaust, Cold air intake and Oil catch can. Flat Out will be going into production with a limited run of 25 units the first year, each being a custom build for each client using either the Sierra or Silverado platform. Flat Out Autos unveiled the Retro 4 door K5 Tahoe conversion in 2019 and the 2 door retro K5 Tahoe in 2021.
