Southern California Couple Invent Shields for Car Interior Doors.

Southern California Couple Invent Shields for Car Interior Doors.

Cars are becoming more expensive and car owners are always looking for ways to protect their investment and enjoy the new car experience for as long as possible. A Santa Ana, California couple has developed a set of shields to protect interior door panels.
Their dog, Bella, who lives for car rides and whom they take everywhere, was the inspiration behind ThinSkinz door protectors. However, their new car doors’ interiors are finished with soft-touch surfaces and leather armrests so her claws would have easily torn through the upholstery. Therefore, no window for Bella.
The couple searched for a product to bring back the best part of the ride for Bella but were really hesitant about existing products which involve shoving plastic tabs against the window or applying anything with adhesive onto their new car. Besides wanting to enjoy its pristine condition for as long as possible, the car was on a lease and they didn’t know if they’d be keeping it. So, they got to work on a better solution.
They came up with a set of hard plastic protectors that snap onto the car’s interior doors much like cell phone covers do. These form-fitted shields protect against dog claws and other items that many of us often take along in the backseat such as tools, luggage, and camping equipment. They stay on securely by closely matching the contours of the original door panel along with some really innovative features that keeps it well in place. It literally takes just a few seconds to install and remove, all without the need for fasteners or adhesives. What’s really awesome about these protectors is that they closely match the look of the original interior door panel so it takes a second look to notice that there’s anything on the doors at all!
Customers are raving about the quality, looks, and protection of their ThinSkinz. Besides the superior protection, customers are amazed at how easy they are to install, remove and care for. They are also getting many requests every day to make “Skinz” for other model vehicles from dog owners, overlanders, those who work in construction, delivery and from fleets who want to enjoy and protect their investments.
Their first design is made for the new Jeep Wrangler JL and Jeep Gladiators but are already at work on “Skinz” for the Toyota Tacoma and other vehicles.
