ARRINGTON HYDROGEN DEBUTS HIGHEST HORSEPOWER, ZERO EMISSIONS INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AT SEMA SHOW Team Throttle Monster to debut their newest truck, housing 1000+ horsepower with zero emissions and not EV

LAS VEGAS, NV – Tuesday October 31st, 2023 Arrington Hydrogen CEO, Mike Copeland will bring his third proof of concept engine to SEMA 2023 (2021: Chevrolet, 2022 Ford) this year, with a 540cu Big Block Chevrolet tuned to put out 1000+ horsepower, in a Monster Truck. This year’s focus is on putting to rest that you cannot get horsepower from hydrogen. Copeland has already proven that you can have zero emissions internal combustion, but he’ll be on-hand to demonstrate that direct-fueled (not fuel cell) hydrogen engines can provide high horsepower in performance vehicles.
This Year, Arrington Hydrogen worked with several industry leading brands to build this unprecedented power plant, including PHINIA, formerly known as Borg-Warner, to manufacture the fuel injectors to support unprecedented horsepower demands of the Team Throttle Monster Truck.
“Working on this project with Mike Copeland has been so exciting, Arrington Hydrogen is changing the landscape for internal combustion and Team Throttle Monster will be leading the sport with zero carbon emissions that bring all the noise and excitement the fans expect,” said Paul Jenson, owner of Team Throttle Monster.
“We are delighted to provide Arrington Hydrogen the hydrogen injectors needed for the race engine that will be installed in Team Throttle Monster’s Monster Truck. While we more often see our technology being used in the commercial vehicle market, it is exciting to now see it in action as part of this collaboration, to build this impressive custom vehicle,” said Todd Anderson, vice president and chief technology officer, PHINIA Inc. “Our M3.5 PFI H2 injectors have been used successfully to demonstrate the performance and versatility provided by hydrogen injection. This leads to decarbonization opportunities with unique vehicles as well as commercial and industrial applications.”
“We congratulate Arrington on having converted the first ever Monster Truck engine to hydrogen injection! We are pleased that PHINIA has played an important part in this collaborative project, and look forward to further updates as it progresses,” concludes Anderson.
About Arrington Hydrogen
Arrington Hydrogen develops fuel delivery systems for internal combustion engines that allow hydrogen to replace gasoline and thereby enable a zero carbon emissions, internal combustion solution. Founder Mike Copeland has been innovating horsepower and vehicle dynamics for more than three decades. As the industry moves toward emissions reduction and carbon footprint concerns, Copeland's attention to gasoline-based engine development naturally drifted towards the future of internal combustion for a gasoline-reduced economy. Hydrogen was an obvious choice, although no one had succeeded in bringing to market a commercial-ready product. While nearing retirement number three, Copeland set out to prove the viability Hydrogen as an emissions reduction alternative to electric vehicles and launched his first proof of concept, the ZERO truck, at SEMA 2021. Since 2021, Copeland has built concept vehicles and engines for commercial applications and looks forward to full production ramping up by the year 2025, if not sooner.
