Once installed the car will have full, realtime flex fuel management, allowing the use of gas, E85 flex fuel or any mix of the two fuels. Like all Advanced Fuel Dynamics flex fuel solutions, the D.I. Flex for the 18+ Mustang GT is fully dyno tested and certified on AFD's lab quality dyno to measure power gains and to insure that the stock fuel system is compatible and capable of safely delivering full E85 flex fuel. Running E85 makes more horsepower and torque while cooling engine operating temperatures, lowering carbon emissions and keeping internal engine components free of carbon deposits . E85 is also lower cost than gasoline and has a knock resistance value equivalent to 110-114 octane race gas. The ProFlex D.I.
