This session is intended to be a tool for shops to provide consumers with a step-by-step guide for them to petition for full Insurer reimbursement. When the consumer's insurance provider does not want to fully reimburse a repair centers bill for rates or needed procedures as outlined in the database guides and OEM service repair procedures, this guide will help clarify the steps required. • Understand your policy - specifics of what is promised by contract. • How is your 'Loss' quantified and what are OEM service procedures and why do they matter. • First Party versus third party claims and their differences in handling disputes. • The subrogation effect. • Helping a repairer 'justify' the loss to ensure reimbursement. Insurance pushback on rates and procedures is at an all-time high and consumers need to understand their rights and that in the majority of cases repairers are just trying to do the right thing by their customer.
