The weight Distribution Trailer is a compact, single axle passive steer air ride trailer. It easily connects to any light duty truck with a class 3 or higher rated tow package. Once connected it has 12 volt air compressor that is governed to 120 psi and gets its power supply from the trucks trailer receptacle and onboard battery. It supplies air for the air ride suspension and the weight maintenance hitch bellow. To activate the WDT simply open the 2 air control valves once the air supply has been achieved The WDT automatically transfers excessive rear axle weight to the front axle of the tow vehicle and trailer axle proportionally to maintain proper axle weights and must be on level ground to properly proportion the axle weights. (This also allows you to increase the cargo carrying capacity up to 1500 pounds over OEM specifications) The compressor will activate and supply supporting air, once the air supply is adequate the compressor will stop till supply is needed again. At this time by simply press the supplied remote, it activates the ECM to maintain the axle weight settings even over elevation changes. (it is best to activate while in motion on level roadways if safe to do so, if set on level ground before in motion that is ok too) and it will sound the horn 3 times and indicator light by controls and gauges will come on too. When the load needs to be removed or added, simply press the remote to deactivate the ECM. Unload or load all or portion of load. And simple press the remote again and those changed axle weight settings will be maintained. These changes must be on level ground at all times. Once the axle weights are proportioned on level ground and the ECM is activated, the ground elevation is not affected.
