2024 NEW PRODUCT SHOWCASE INFORMATION, RULES AND GUIDELINES

Build brand awareness and generate sales leads by submitting products to the New Product Showcase.

Introduce new products, packaging, and merchandising displays at the #1 destination for buyers and media at the SEMA Show.

The first New Products Showcase entry IS ALWAYS FREE; each additional product entry is $95 through October 4, and just $175 after that date.

All products receive the added benefit of exclusive publicity: products in the Showcase will be featured in SEMA News, listed in the SEMA Show App, and may be eligible for a New Products Showcase award.

PRODUCT ENTRY GUIDELINES

WHAT IS CONSIDERED A NEW PRODUCT?

New Product is a product manufactured or exclusively distributed by a company exhibiting at this year's SEMA Show. The product entry was also introduced to the marketplace after last year's SEMA Show and will be available for shipment within 90 days after the close of this year's SEMA Show.

Products not meeting the above criteria will be displayed as a Featured Product and are not eligible for a New Products Award.

Prototypes, mock-ups, and vehicles are NOT allowed in the New Products Showcase.

  1. Exhibitor must supply one product display for each New Product category entered.
  2. Each entered product must also be displayed in the exhibitor's booth.
  3. Product must be removed from ALL packaging.
    1. (Except when the product is entered into the Packaging Design category.)
  4. Product may NOT be mounted onto another part to show how it works.
    1. (Tires entered in the Tire & Related category may be mounted on an unbranded wheel.)
  5. Products with movement are permitted IF the movement pertains to the usage of product and does not create a safety hazard. Rendering and dimensions of the product/display MUST be e-mailed to newproducts@sema.org  prior to the Show for approval.
  6. Firearms, weapons, fireworks, and explosives of all kinds, including replicas are prohibited from the premises of the SEMA Show. This prohibition to all displays whether the weapons/firearms are permanently or temporarily affixed.  Any exceptions to this policy must be granted in writing by Show Management.

PRODUCT DISPLAY GUIDELINES

The New Products Showcase consists of various display styles:
  • Enclosed Glass Cases: for Small product displays up to 18"H x 12"D x 24"W
  • Tabletop Displays: for Medium to Large product displays
  • Floor Displays: for Large or Heavy products, or products on a wheeled display stand

Show Management cannot guarantee specific placement of products and reserves the right to move product displays as necessary.

The SEMA Show, the New Products Judging Task Force, and Show Management are not responsible for any loss or damage to product (s), software or other items on display.

Each New and Featured Product display will be accompanied by a SEMA-provided sign containing the following information:

  • Product Name
  • Company Name
  • Part #
  • MSRP
  • Booth Number
  • Product Description (as provided on New Product entry form)

Unless otherwise permitted below, NO additional signage is allowed.

A self-standing presentation board NO LARGER THAN 22" x 28" may be used if:

  • Your product/service cannot be physically displayed
  • Your product contains small parts or multiple pieces that must be mounted
  • Your product exceeds a footprint of 7' x 7'

A small, 8.5" x 11" SIGN may be used if:

  • Your product is available in more than one color/finish/size, and you need to showcase additional colors/finishes/sizes.
  • Your product is digital in nature, and you need to showcase the programming or functionality.
  • Your product needs another part/product to show how it works and you need to showcase the usage/application.

All exhibitor-provided signage MUST be self-standing or provided with an easel.
QR codes are permitted on all exhibitor-provided signage.

DIGITAL DISPLAYS

Products that are too large to display OR digital in nature, may have a video shown on a laptop or tablet device set to run on demo mode for the entirety of the Show.

In lieu of bringing a laptop or tablet device, exhibitors may utilize a QR code that links to a landing page or video explaining the product. Videos may be no longer than 30-seconds.

Exhibitors MUST arrange for their own electrical power for each display through Freeman (702-579-1700).

All exhibitor-provided signage and/or digital content must NOT contain any marketing, advertising, or sales copy.

Show Management reserves the right to remove any signage or digital content deemed inappropriate at their sole discretion.
 

CHECKING-IN YOUR PRODUCT

All entries must be personally checked-in at the New Products Showcase located in North Hall during the following hours:
  • Saturday, November 2: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Sunday, November 3: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Monday, November 4: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Products checked-in after 10:00 am on Monday, November 4, will NOT be eligible for a New Product Award.

ADVANCED SHIPPING

Exhibitors may ship their product to the Freeman warehouse in advance. Pre-shipped products must be received at the Freeman Warehouse by Wednesday, October 23, with the provided shipping label affixed to each box.

Products shipped in advance will be delivered to the New Products Showcase on Saturday, November 2.

Product(s) MUST still be checked-in by a representative of the exhibiting company during the check-in times listed above.

PICKING UP YOUR PRODUCT

All New Products Showcase Exhibitors are responsible to pick-up their product(s), arrange for shipment via UPS, or donate their product to SEMA.

The SEMA Show and Show Management are not responsible for return shipping of any product (s), software, or other items on display.

Picking-Up Your Products

Exhibitors can pick up their product(s) on Friday, November 8 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Only hand carry items, or items that can be moved with a 2-wheel cart can be moved on the Show floor until 4:00 pm. Product displays and containers requiring a forklift or electric pallet jack cannot be moved until the Show floor is closed.

Return Ship Your Products Through UPS

Exhibitors have the option to have their New Product(s) packaged and shipped back by UPS at the end of the SEMA Show. UPS will be on-site during check-in & check-out to assist with any return shipping needs. Return shipment details and payment MUST be arranged by Exhibitors directly through the Official SEMA Show UPS Store.

Donate Your Product

Exhibitors may leave their product(s) at the Showcase to be donated to Show Management, who will provide to a local charity.

Products not picked up by 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 9 will be considered abandoned.
Show Management will NOT be responsible for the return of abandoned products.

OTHER SERVICES

LABOR
Freeman will handle all labor within the New Products Showcase. If your product requires a cart or labor for check-in, please complete the Labor Order form located in your Exhibitor Services Manual, or online here. Carts will be provided during check-out on Friday, November 8 until 7:00 pm.

ELECTRICAL
Installation and the cost of electricity are the exhibitor's responsibility. Freeman will be available on-site to provide service.

SECURITY
While security is provided at the New Products Showcase, SEMA and Show Management cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to entries. By completing the entry form, you expressly waive and release SEMA and Show Management, their respective directors, officers, employees, and/or agents from and against any and all liability for damage, destruction or loss of the entry submitted to the New Products Showcase or any consequential loss or damage whatsoever.

NEW PRODUCT AWARDS

Products checked-in after 10:00 am. on Monday, November 4, will NOT be eligible for a New Product Award.
Products checked-in after 2:00 pm on Monday, November 4 will NOT be photographed by SEMA Magazine.

Award winners will be announced on Tuesday, November 5 at the SEMA Show Kick Off Breakfast and will also be recognized through SEMA Magazine. Runners-up Awards will be presented in the Media Center on Tuesday, November 5.

Each award category will have one winner and two runners-up. A company may enter multiple products in multiple categories AND is eligible to win awards in more than one category.

The exhibiting company entering the product must be a SEMA or TIA member in good standing. Judges may determine by majority vote that no entry in a particular category is qualified to receive an award. In this event, no award will be given in that category.
