See Driven Restorations 'Mom's T-Bird' 1959 Thunderbird at the Summit Racing SEMA Display Trailer

Steve and Molly Gursky of Driven Restorations are hard at work getting this 1959 Ford Thunderbird finished for the SEMA Show. It will be on display at the Summit Racing Equipment display trailer outside of the Grand Lobby.

The Colonial White car was purchased in 1961 for the current owner’s mom to use as a daily driver, thus earning the name “Mom’s T-Bird”. The Thunderbird features a Scott’s Hotrods and Customs full frame chassis with custom-built front and rear coilover suspension and Wilwood disc brakes. Adapting the ’59 to the new chassis meant cutting out the floor, transmission tunnel, and subframe assemblies and building a new underbody structure.

The car is powered by a Ford Racing 5.0L Coyote Power Module, which mates a production 460 horsepower Gen 3 5.0L engine to a 680R six-speed automatic. the power is routed to a to a Ford 9 inch axle with a Moser Engineering third member fitted with 3.25 gears and an Auburn Gear limited slip differential.

We will be debuting the new DS18 J-LOUD and the new DS18 Jeep box that fits two 12 inch subs firing down with custom plexiglass cuts to show the beauty of DS18 subwoofer motors. Powered by our EXL and FRX series of amps, this Big Bad Wolf hosts plenty of power to power all the amazing DS18 sound components and LEDs this crawler has. Charging all these pieces of loudness and light is the DS18 LTI40ah lithium battery. This battery can be used in large systems demanding up to 12,000 watts clamped! Also inside will be a rocking DS18 JK Sound bar housing four 8 inch mids, four super tweeters, and 2 ear piercing drivers all wrapped in RGB lighting!

Race Ramps Booth to Feature Bitchin’ Rides 1967 Chevelle by Kindig-it Design (Central #21201)

ESCANABA, MI – Oct. 25, 2018 – Race Ramps is set to feature a 1967 Chevelle by Kindig-it Design in their Central Hall Booth #21201 at the SEMA Show. The Chevelle, named Caldera, is featured on an episode of the current season of Bitchin’ Rides. The SEMA Show display is the first show appearance for the Chevelle since its transformation.

The ’67 Chevelle features the Kindig-it Design crew’s touch from top to bottom, inside and out. It is equipped with a 376 LSX Twin Turbo, new sleek black paint, new wheels, tires and brakes package, new suspension, and an interior design upgrade.
