What is the appropriate attire when attending the show?

  • The SEMA Show is a business-to-business trade-only event. Exhibitor and attendee-buyer attire ranges from business to casual.
  • However, we highly recommend that students and educators dress for success and try to blend in with the “business” environment.
  • Business- or smart-casual attire with closed-toed and comfortable walking-shoes; long pants (no jeans) and covered-shoulders are preferred.
  • Student attire should be neat and clean, with minimal cologne, jewelry and make-up.
  • Many school groups will wear uniform polo- or collared short- or long-sleeve, button-down and/or work/shop-shirts, with their school logo embroidered on left-chest.

Student Career Day

Immediately following the Student Program Lunch & Launch Pad event, SEMA Education will host the Student Career Day. The goal of the Student Career Day is to expose students to the diversity of career opportunities available in the automotive industry. Participating companies can interact with students and explain the types of positions they typically hire for, skills needed, and any other information you wish to impart to the next generation. Check out the video from 2018 below.

Stay tuned for a list of participating companies!
