Why the SEMA Show?

The annual trade show, which features new products and innovations that enhance a vehicle’s styling and performance, is where more than 160,000 industry professionals gather each year to do business. In addition to connecting buyers and sellers, an important element of the SEMA Show is the education program that takes place during the Show.

What We Look for in a Speaker

Be able to push the envelope. How can you deliver content in a new way? Think outside the box and present in new formats:

• Debate style forums
• Roundtable discussions
• Audience interaction – flipped learning models
• Low-tech – high-value

All speakers should be able to focus on industry issues and not a specific company position or agenda.

If you are not sure about what subject to address, here are a few topics of interest that you may use for thought starters

• Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) Software Simulations
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Integration
• Media Marketing
• Cyber Security
• The Future of Transportation
• Growing Revenue
• Hands-on Technical Training
• Small Business Sustainability
• The Future of the Modern Work Environment

By no means are you limited to these topics – we welcome all areas of expertise.

Selection Process

The SEMA Show Education program typically includes more than five dozen sessions. While topics address basic business practices such as customer service, marketing and social media, the 2018 program will emphasize issues that are of greatest concern to businesses in the automotive aftermarket. Experts who can contribute to automotive specific innovation and training are encouraged to submit proposals.

Please submit your completed proposal by February 12, 2018. We receive many session proposals for the Annual SEMA Show, so please understand that it is a difficult and highly selective process for our team of volunteers and staff to review and choose from among the many excellent submissions we receive. As such, quality rather than quantity is always best when submitting proposals. We much prefer to receive your best ideas rather than every idea you might have, so send us just the ones you think would make the strongest sessions.

Speaker entires will be answered by no later than April 20, 2018.
