ORACLE Lighting Reveals Revolutionary Oculus Headlamp System

Oracle Lighting is excited to debut the Oculus Bi-LED Headlamp system for the 2018-2020 Jeep Wrangler JL and 2020 Jeep Gladiator JT models. Oracle's revolutionary lighting system features advanced LED projection with 3,200 lumens for enhanced driver visibility in all weather conditions. The Oculus LED light source also uses less power compared to the factory lamps while still providing more light output.

“The new Wrangler is one of the hottest vehicles currently available,” says Oracle Lighting Director of Product Development Justin Hartenstein. “Unfortunately, the factory JL and Gladiator headlamps present compromises: the base-model halogens don’t emit adequate light in our opinion, and the optional LEDs are an expensive upgrade. We created the Oculus Bi-LED to give owners of new Jeeps more focused lighting that significantly exceeds the factory light output, all at an affordable price.”

The true 9-inch Oracle Oculus was developed specifically for the new Jeep Wrangler Platform; this isn’t a 7-inch application that was repurposed for a larger opening. A real plug-and-play replacement, the Oculus offers better light focus than a simple LED bulb upgrade. The system was created specifically with lifted Jeeps in mind: Projector beam angle is adjustable, and the lights include a tool for easy beam adjustment. To further increase safety, Oracle engineered in a sharp cut-off line to minimize glare to oncoming drivers.

The Daytime Running Light (DRL) Halo is one of Oracle's design specialties. For the Oculus, Oracle created a vivid-white DRL Halo made up of more than 200 individual LEDs.

Oculus’ appearance is also enhanced by its custom bezel inner-housing. Oracle spent a year developing the Oculus, some of which involved focus-group feedback on the bezel design. The patent-pending design is based in Euclidian geometry and is comprised of concentric ellipses. The rear of the housing is finished with a complementary hand-sculpted form factor, in contrast to industry-standard cooling fins.

Speaking of cooling, proper thermal management is mandatory in order for high-performance LEDs to operate with reliability in any environment. The Oculus utilizes both active and passive cooling methods to sustain low LED temperatures: Remote-mounted heat sinks and an internal cooling fan work together to maintain proper temperature control and LED longevity.

Oculus installation is designed for the average do-it-yourselfer, and the product includes a step-by-step install video with the purchase. By utilizing all of the factory mounting hardware, Oracle designed the Oculus to be a true direct replacement for the factory Jeep headlamps.

The Oculus Headlights were engineered in the USA by Oracle Lighting to guarantee the highest quality and ideal fitment. Backed by a two-year warranty, the Oculus headlights ship ready-to-install with a MSRP of $589.50.
