Air Design USA 2019+ Jeep Wrangler JL Full Body Kit

Air Design USA will unveil its new off-road series body kit for the 2019+ Jeep Wrangler JL at the 2019 SEMA Show. Complete with Front Bumper Guard, DRL Roof Pods, Hood Scoop, Fender Flares, Door Moldings, Rear Tailgate Appliqué and Spoiler, Grille Insert, and Wheel Well Liners, the full body kit accentuates the JL’s updated styling.

“We’ve been asked time and time again when we would produce Jeep accessories. The truth is, we felt no need to enter an overly-saturated Wrangler JK market,” says Billy Longfellow, VP of Design and Engineering at Air Design USA. “But the combination of traditional off-road prowess and modern sophistication of the all-new JL is an ideal platform to release our line of premium styling products for Jeep,” he says.

Sitting nearly 200-pounds lighter, the fourth-generation Wrangler boasts better ground clearance, approach and departure angles, and crawl ratios, a redesigned six-speed manual transmission, and two powertrain options, wrapped in a package that balances the brand’s rugged good looks with an upgraded, comfort-minded interior. The familiar 3.6L Pentastar V6, making 285 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque, is joined by a new 2.0L Turbo I4 with eTorque Mild Hybrid System, making 270 hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque, that brings a 35% boost in fuel economy to the model.

The first Jeep to ever take home MotorTrend’s SUV of the Year award, some of the JL Wrangler’s most notable innovations are the smallest. Subtle exterior changes like a new bumper and cutouts behind the front wheels facilitate more efficient engine cooling, while a zipper-free soft top, keyless entry, simpler fold-down windshield, and optional retractable Sky One-Touch™ Power Top prioritize user conveniences.

“For the Jeep JL off-road body kit, we took it a step further with a custom grille insert and wheel well liners to finish off the look. But the most impressive upgrade is what you can’t see—we’ve injected our award-winning fender flares with a new indestructible material,” explains Longfellow. “You can take a baseball bat to this material and not make a dent, making it an ideal upgrade for off-road enthusiasts who want to look like a million bucks cruising down the highway, but have ultimate protection when heading off pavement,” he adds.
