Glass Apps Debuts World-leading Switchable Glass Products To the Automotive Industry

CULVER CITY, California — Glass Apps, a leading provider of switchable glass and film, will debut the company’s newly developed automotive solution at the 2013 SEMA show.

“After carefully evaluating the switchable glass options in the automotive industry, we worked with our R&D team to develop solutions that address all the limitations we’ve seen,” stated Thomas Lee, CEO of Glass Apps. “Our technology has the highest clarity, is switchable and dimmable, is substantially thinner, and in addition to the standard milky white that is commonly offered, ours is available in gray and SuperClear (standard automotive tint).”

The company’s newest product, SuperClear, was designed specifically for the automotive industry. One key feature is the film’s thickness at .25mm (half of any other product in the market), making it an ideal application for curved automotive glass. There is also a major reduction in haze, a common problem seen with switchable glass when in its clear state. SuperClear is a classic tint that looks great on car windows, sun / moon roofs, and side lamps.

All Glass App products block UV up to 98% and provide up to 40% solar reduction.

“We are very excited to bring these products to the automotive industry,” commented Lee. “We revolutionized switchable glass and film in the residential and commercial industries and plan to do the same thing here!”

Glass Apps is currently seeking top retail and distributor partners. If you are interested in learning more about the products and available opportunities, please visit us at booth 16627.
