Auto Step product created to revolutionize auto repair safety!

Clatskanie, Oregon - Safe access is often one of the biggest challenges in auto repair. Kim & Liesel Filkowski created the Auto Step to safely allow access under the hood of even the biggest SUVs and trucks, and at the upcoming SEMA Show (Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show –, they’re going to launch this safety device to the market.

The Auto Step eliminates the need for standing on blocks of wood, a ladder that can bang against a vehicle or any other object that may slide out from beneath you when working on a vehicle. Weighing in at less than six pounds and crafted from heavy-duty components in high-visibility colors, the tested and certified Auto Step can be installed safely on most vehicles in less than ten seconds.

“Anyone who has ever struggled to access the engine compartment or windshield while working on their vehicle will understand what a great product this is,” says Kim Filkowski, CEO and inventor of the Auto Step. “We’ve designed this to be easy-to-use, easy-to-store, and extremely safe.”

Auto Step will be shown at the SEMA show ( at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 30th to November 2nd, 2012 at booth 10484 in the tool section. Orders will be accepted for the Christmas Season.
