Year after year, focus on aftermarket emissions compliance intensifies as regulatory agencies pursue more and more enforcement actions.  As all of us should be aware, the U.S. Clean Air Act prohibits certain performance modifications of street vehicles without proper certification.  Fortunately, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) provides a method by which manufacturers can certify emissions–related products.  The CARB certification is recognized by the U.S. EPA and provides coverage for all 50 states.
CARB has begun the process of rewriting the regulations surrounding the E.O. program. The purpose of this revamp is to align the program with modern emissions standards and simplify the process for certain types of aftermarket performance products. CARB needs to hear from you! If you are a manufacturer of performance products, such as air intake systems, tuning devices, superchargers, exhaust systems or intercoolers (and more), this seminar is for you. Now is the opportunity to hear what CARB is planning and to engage in the process. CARB staff members will be presenting and will answer questions.
To submit questions prior to the seminar, please send your email to Peter Treydte at petert@sema.org
