Each of the courses has been individually selected or crafted by SCRS because the content specifically focuses on issues and information that are relevant to collision repair professionals operating in today’s marketplace, and appeals to the diverse array of marketplace perspectives that exist within the collision repair industry.

Today’s fleet of lighter, stronger, safer vehicles has demonstrated that the collision repair industry is going to have to work to keep pace with the innovation and evolution of automotive structural design; and to make it a cultural priority to access procedures and information specific to each repair. The process of attaching structural components together has proven to be an area where automakers can positively impact vehicle safety and remove weight out of the vehicle, and has also introduced a much greater variety in approaches. This requires well-informed technicians to approach the sophisticated construction techniques. Attendees of this session will learn:

• The proper drill, punch or equipment used to remove certain rivets and welds

• The proper bonding adhesives and applicators

• With so many new rivets and fasteners, attendees will explore which goes where, why it is used, and how it is applied

• What the repercussions of not following the proper requirements are
