RD15 -  Building a Bigger Estimating Toolbox

Presented by: Will Latuff, Latuff Brothers Auto Body

Like many who will be interested in attending this session, presenter Will Latuff writes estimates for consumers every day in his collision repair business, and consults on their repair options and the overall repair process. He oversees the repair planning process to document all damages related to a repair, and as a part of that process, he researches OEM repair information, procedures, part numbers, and safety information related to a repair. Through a proactive use of industry resources, Latuff has identified how utilizing certain websites and pieces of information can improve the damage identification and estimating processes, leading to a more conclusive damage analysis that becomes a better tool for communicating the full picture to both consumers and insurance adjusters. This interactive panel-style presentation will also feature participants from the Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG), ALLDATA, and 3M as Latuff and company explore immediate tools attendees can put to use when they return back to the business.
