PASMAG Tuner Essentials 2015 Ultimate Performance Guide Issue Preview: Harder. Better. Faster. Stronger.
We all like going a little fast now and then, right? Who are we kidding; we’re all a little guilty of having a lead foot. Well, it’s a good thing you picked us up because this issue of PASMAG has been freshly filled to the brim with some pretty high octane content – whether it be a part you’re chasing after, or just something to get you inspired.
You know those posters you had on your wall as a kid that depicted the awesome cars that you were hoping to own when you’re older? That’s what this issue is comprised of. Our feature line-up is ridiculously awesome and each one should make you want a print on your wall, no matter what your age is.
If you couldn't tell from the cover, we're pretty excited about Anthony De Guzman and his one-of-a-kind Supra finally getting their cover. He’s the champ after all. Beating out all other competitors, he’s joins the ranks of Salik Zaki and his Scion xA from last year’s Tuner Battlegrounds Championship tournament. Anthony isn’t the only one who’s eyed or eyeing a championship title in this issue, though. Our Formula Drift feature is Odi Bakchis’s Nissan S14, which is currently propelling him to the leader of the points board. Kendall White and his FR-S named “Stay Minty” by his fans is cleaning up at any and every show it stops at in and around the country within a country, Texas. See what went into making the seafoam green 86 the freshest out there. We also have four Tuner Battlegrounds hopefuls in this issue. Each of them won the #TBGLIVE competition at their respective shows and earned themselves a print feature, too. Will they chase the championship spot at SEMA in Las Vegas?
This is a super exciting issue of Performance Auto & Sound Magazine (PASMAG) in that this very issue will be making its debut at SEMA! That’s right, the largest automotive aftermarket trade show, and birth-giver to three-quarters of the features you’ll see in magazines and online in the next year, will be the big stage our December / January issue will be revealed on. If you’re picking this up on the newsstand or grabbing it out of your mailbox, this may seem overdramatic, but we’re totally stoked. We’re strapped in and suited up to show SEMA-goers who the best tuner magazine really is.
As always, we’ve got the best on offer. Courtesy of our hardworking columnists, we bring you stories from Japan, the sound lab and Formula Drift. Adam Zillin, our man in Japan, has been covering the roots of the Mid Night Club for a while now, and in its fifth part he sits down with Mr. Top Secret himself – Smoky Nagata – to discuss the beginning,
An International Showdown in the 2015 Tuner Battlegrounds: Championship Battle presented by Performance Auto & Sound Magazine (PASMAG)!

Celebrating its fourth anniversary and the third year of finishing the championship at the SEMA Show, Tuner Battlegrounds will continue to deliver new and exciting competitions to engage enthusiasts across North America.
New for 2015 (and unlike previous years), seeding for the 2015 Championship Battle begins immediately, and inclusion and placement within the Top 32 depends on points earned throughout the season.

“They did it to show it was their plane, their crew and painting their jackets with the same art showed they were a team. It gave them an identity and it was something they could do to colour their lives – it was a great morale booster. It was frowned upon by the top brass as it broke all the rules, but they tolerated it. You could say some of it was a bit saucy.”- Ron Batley, museum curator of the 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum
