Aussie solar car startup to showcase at SEMA 2015

Melbourne­based electric vehicle technology startup
EVX (www.evxventures.com) has announced it will be exhibiting its scaled down model custom
solar car and spin­off technologies at the world’s largest automotive speciality parts trade show
in the world, the SEMA Show 2015 at Las Vegas Convention Center, USA in November.

EVX is a collaboration with the leading electric vehicle R&D group at Swinburne University of
Technology and experienced local engineers who have designed and produced award winning
solar racing cars. The engineering team at EVX is led by electric vehicle expert Dr Clint Steele.

Co­-Founder & CEO of EVX Barry Nguyen said “Without government funding so far, we have
made significant progress in our R&D and getting closer to turn our ambitious vision into a
reality. With the strong leadership of Dr Clint Steele, we have succeeded in keeping our

BST-VFRS Silicone Rubber Coated Aluminum Fiberglass Fabric heat shield blanket With Silicone reflects radiant heat and also minimizes absorption of fluids and contamination.

There is 3 layer materials, heat reflective aluminum foil, fiberglass, silcione rubber. Silicone Rubber side provides excellent vapor barrier and protection from lubricating oils, wash down, contamination, etc.

It is used for a variety of shields and guards and in the construction of bellows for protection of hydraulic cylinders.

Heat reflecting side available in aluminum foil and aluminum film. Aluminum foil version should be used for static applications. Aluminum film should be selected for applications involving movement or flexing, such as for bellows construction.

Heat Reflective Silicone Coated Fiberglass Sleeve is non-alkali fiberglass braided sleeve coated with special inorganic reflective compound silicone rubber. Heat Reflective Fiberglass Sleeve is treated at a suitably high temperature to prossess excellent flexibility, toughness, self-extinguishment and dielectric strength, and to obtain a temperature classification of 180°C.
It has especially good radiation resistance in addition to resistance to ozone, moisture, corona, weathering, fungus and chemical attack.
It is used extensively in the construction of wiring harnesses for use in motor vehicles.
