RANCH HAND TO EXHIBIT AT 2016 SEMA SHOW
Ranch Hand will be at the 2016 SEMA Show, November 1 - November 4, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Look for us at booth #33101 on the second floor of the South Hall.
At SEMA, the world's premier automotive specialty products trade event attended by more than 150,000 people and 60,000 domestic and international buyers, Ranch Hand will be exhibiting in the Truck, SUVs and Offroad, Powersports, and Utility Category.
We will be featuring a new 2017 Ford F-250, complete with our Legend Series Front and Back Bumper and Running Steps, as well as displays featuring our smooth steel Horizon Series Front and Back Bumper. In support of our new tagline, "Protect Your Truck," attendees will be able to see portraits, read stories, and view video of some of our customer testimonials. One of these dramatic stories will appear in the November 2016 issue of the SEMA Daily at the show.
ididit’s innovative 40 Ford straight steering column wins best new product at Street Rod Nationals
TECUMSEH, MICHIGAN – Since its release in early August, ididit’s 40 Ford straight steering column has been getting a lot of attention, and for good reason.
The brushed stainless steel finish and 40’s-style dress-up kit with brass knobs make this special edition column a classic update of a time-honored hot rod column.
The innovative column took home the coveted best new product award at the 47th Annual Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky last month.
Vintage style and modern convenience are paired seamlessly in ididit’s 40 Ford straight steering column. Features of the award-winning column include:

Boom Mat’s Hi-Temp Spray Adhesive is designed to provide a secure high strength bond to most any surface in as quick as 30 seconds to trim materials, and most any fabric including vinyl and foam. Once applied, Boom Mat Hi-Temp Spray Adhesive dries quickly to a clear seal without risk of yellowing, making it ideal for installing carpet, headliners, insulation, or upholstery.
The three-way adjustable valve allows a choice of three spray streams for added versatility and ease of use. One 10 oz. can (part #050490) covers 15 sq. ft.
Boom Mat Hi-Tem Spray Adhesive is water and heat resistant; making it ideal for both automotive and marine use. Its high bonding strength is designed to hold up in hot and cold temps. Rated up to 160°F (71°C) it can be used where heat resistance is required such as in the application of Boom Mat Under Carpet, DEI Heat Screen or Leather Look Headliners.

The new C7 Corvette has one design flaw that can easily send it into limp mode with reduced power. Because the engine cooler and oil filter are located in close proximity to the driver side catalytic converter, the engine oil can overheat signaling the ECM to reduce power.
DEI now offers a new thermal control solution with the introduction of the C7 Catalytic Converter Heat Shield. Custom designed to prevent oil temperature from rising in the C7 by blocking heat transfer at the source, this shield is a quick, easy and cost effective solution to prevent a loss of power.
DEI’s new EXO Series™ Protect-A-Boot provides maximum spark plug boot and wire heat protection. Ideal for all grassroots and professional motorsports, including extreme sports, the EXO Series spark plug boot provides top-of-the-line protection for your spark plug wires against high direct or radiant heat.
The EXO Series boot features dual layer material construction of two layers of high temperature Silica glass fiber encased in a tough outer exoskeleton of 304 grade stainless steel mesh. The mesh prevents direct contact with the inner Silica lining and additionally provides an insulating air gap barrier. The dual layer construction and tough exterior provides a higher level of heat dissipation and abrasion resistance for high heat or abrasion prone environments such as off-road and desert racing.

Excessive under-the-hood heat generated by exhaust pipes and headers robs horsepower, puts electrical components at risk and reduces overall performance. Speed Sleeves cover and protect primary exhaust header pipes serving both as an insulator and radiant heat barrier for pipes up to 2-1/2” in diameter. Speed Sleeves offer a time saving alternative to completely wrapping headers from top to bottom, and can also be used for spot heat protection on any pipe or manifold.

The new ONYX™ Series Starter Shield from Design Engineering Inc. (DEI), provides reliable heat protection for starters under severe duty or extreme heat. Starters exposed to heat soak often malfunction or have problems starting reliably. DEI’s next generation ONYX Series Starter Shield provides the highest level of thermal protection to prevent starter malfunction due to heat soak.
The ONYX Series Starter Shield combines two technologically advanced textiles into a dual layer for maximum thermal control. The outer layer is made from heat treated glass fiber bonded with molten aluminum then formed into a tight weave for added strength and durability. The inner layer is made of a specially treated, high temperature resistant fabric (89% silica). Combined, these materials protect the starter up to 1350°F of direct heat.
DEI’s C7 Corvette Heat Shroud™ is made with a high-temp glass fiber fabric bonded to aluminized material that reflects 90% of radiant heat. The Z06 Corvette is noted for its oil cooler lines placed in close proximity to the catalytic converter capable of reaching 1200+ degrees Fahrenheit. Radiant heat from the converter can raise the oil temperature to the point of putting the C7 in limp mode and putting other components at risk of failure. This scenario is especially possible at the racetrack or even spirited street driving.
DEI now offers a simple, easy to install solution. The C7 Heat Shroud protects engine oil from overheating without the need to disconnect the oil cooler lines. Developed with a convenient hook and loop closure design, installation takes only minutes. Simply wrap the heat shroud around the oil cooler line and seal.
DEI’s new Heat Screen is made of Mylar laminated to a glass fiber matting backed with an aggressive pressure sensitive adhesive for easy peel and stick application with high cohesion strength.
Designed to protect against excessive direct or radiant heat, it is developed to withstand 1200°F direct heat, or up to 2000°F radiant. To apply, simply cut and trim to cover body panels, floor boards, gas tanks, fairings, and other areas requiring thermal protection. It can also be used as a low profile protection under carpeting to lessen floorboard heat. Measuring only .060 inches in thickness, this versatile, thin profile reflective material adheres quickly and easily to any surface, even or uneven, painted or unpainted.
