AEM’s booth will be home to Chris Forsberg’s updated Datsun 280Z drift car
LAS VEGAS - When three-time Formula Drift Champion Chris Forsberg set out to build a Datsun S30 280Z for AEM’s booth at the 2016 SEMA show, we knew it would be a showstopper. Chris’ newest iteration of his RB25-powered 280Z began with an upgraded look thanks to a CarbonSignal G-Nose Body Kit. It also received a set of SSR Professor MS1 wheels in 16x9 and 17x10 supported by a set of Hankook tires in 225/50R16 and 255/40R17. Completing the look is a BRE-style rear wing out back. There will also be a new color for the Z that Sam’s Auto Land will be in charge of. Lighting up the night far better than the weak halogen lights it originally came with, the headlights will receive Dapper Lighting’s projector headlights and LED taillights.
This ’55 Nomad will be a head turner under the lights of the Las Vegas Convention Center
LAS VEGAS - Over the past few years, Spectre Performance has featured some pretty slick builds in their SEMA booth and this year is no exception. Rumored to be a bit of a departure from past builds, this 1955 Chevy Nomad is anything but typical.
Built by Classic Car Studio, of St. Louis, Missouri, the tri-five started as little more than a rolling chassis with a rusted out body. But after nearly 2,000 hours of body work, it is much more than that now. Sitting on a sturdy Roadster Shop Revo chassis with a triangulated four-link, the Nomad sits perfectly on a set of Billet Specialties SLG 15 wheels: 18x8-inch in the front and 20x12-inch at the rear all wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires; 255/40R18 and 335/35R20 respectively. While Wilwood Pro spindles, master cylinder, and 13-inch brakes (six-piston front, four-piston rear) give this heavyweight all the stopping power she’ll need.
TV Personality and custom bike builder, Brian Fuller’s latest creation will showcase K&N product
LAS VEGAS - Bryan Fuller is a jack of all trades. Fuller has both a degree in biology from the University of North Texas and technical certification from Wyoming Tech and is a magician at the design table and with a welding torch. With talents like that, it’s no wonder that Fuller’s latest creation will be showcased in the K&N booth at the 2016 SEMA show.
The “77 Sporty” began life as a standard Harley-Davidson® Sportster and was crafted into something special. From the custom Fuller aluminum tail section to the low bars up front, the 77 Sporty oozes retro cool. The flat black coating adds to the ambiance with a kind of all-business, primer-clad motif reminiscent of mid-20th century street burners.
The two-wheeled work of art pays homage to Indian’s early racing history in a modern package
