OMNI UNITED ANNOUNCES NET ZERO CARBON EMISSIONS FOR RADAR TIRES BRAND, COMES OFF DEBUT YEAR IN MOTORSPORTS AND OFFERS FULL TIRE SPECTRUM AT SEMA 2013
Omni United USA Inc. will showcase their successful year of ‘firsts’ at the annual SEMA show in 2013. Returning with a larger booth space and increased presence, Omni will be situated in the midst of the South Hall Lower in booth #43211.
Omni United announced this week that it has been certified as a Carbon Neutral company for its flagship brand, Radar Tires, accomplishing a goal set over two years ago. This achievement is the result of a comprehensive twelve-month effort to measure the company’s Radar Tires brands’ global carbon footprint in accordance with certification standards, coupled with a multi-faceted approach to reach net zero carbon emissions. In addition to its commitment internally to driving sustainable business practices, Omni United has achieved its goal of net zero carbon emissions through supporting hydro energy green projects, spread across China.
"We cannot transform the world alone, but want to be a role model and show that if a small company like ours can invest the time, effort, and resources necessary to make this change, then anyone can,” said G.S. Sareen, President and CEO of Omni United. “This is owed to our children and the generations to come not to continue down the path we have been on.”
The company is also coming off an inaugural year in motorsports, where championship driver Mike Johnson and Omni United came away with a Score International Baja 500 Class 10 buggy victory and Class 10 points lead going into the iconic November Baja 1000. First introduced at the 2012 SEMA show, Radar Tires, the flagship brand of Omni United, took on the best of the short-course off-road racing and desert series with this year’s debut in the 2013 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) and SCORE Desert Series. Radar’s inaugural efforts feature the brand’s Renegade R5 M/T tires and a team led by Johnson.
“Motorsports has always been an incredible proving ground for tires, and Radar was ready to take on the tough competition of the Lucas Oil series and the punishing desert in SCORE racing with our rugged, heavy-duty Renegade R5 M/T tire,” said G. The company is also coming off of other firsts, including the opening of their first North American distribution center in Fairfield, California to support flagship brand, Radar Tires.
“Radar Tires new distribution center provides a much higher level of service to our customers throughout the United States,” said Scott Rhodes, Omni Vice President of Sales, North America. “It allows us to better serve the needs of our growing retail customers and distributors, accelerating time to market.”
The new distribution center will support retailers and multiple distribution points throughout the United States and provide dealers with expedited access to the line of Radar Tires products, including passenger car, SUV and trailer tires. The company says the distribution center will reduce lead time for product delivery as the result of a competitive shipping policy which includes pre-paid delivery on all qualified orders.

For every Radar tire sold, Omni United will donate $5 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) with a minimum annual donation of $200,000 and a maximum donation of $250,000.
