BEUMER’s Tire Tray System is designed to automate the gentle handling of tires using a minimum amount of contact points throughout every part of the production process

October 31, 2013 - Somerset, NJ (USA) (www.beumergroup.com)— BEUMER Corporation, a leading global supplier of automated material handling systems, will preview a new automated system, customized specifically for the tire production industry, at the SEMA show in booth #50109.

The new BEUMER Group Tire Tray System (TTS) is designed to automate the gentle handling of green tires using a minimum amount of contact points throughout every part of the production process. Each tire is automatically loaded and unloaded in purpose-built cone trays to ensure gentle and precise pick-up from induction to complex processes such as tire curing. The TTS provides traceability and tracking of individual tires through every stage of the production process. Tires are gently handled with full consideration of their delicate material and are kept in their allocated trays, even during storage, to reduce contact and possible damage.

The BEUMER TTS provides traceability and tracking of individual tires through every stage of the production process. The automated system includes features such as fully automated loading and unloading, end-to-end tracking of tires using RFID technology, and the ability to handle a wide variety of tire sizes using the same platform.

The TTS has a modular design that can easily be integrated into existing manufacturing operations or greenfield sites. The TTS uses the least possible space, with elevated storage, sortation, and conveyors that minimize the use of floor-space and enable the equipment to fit into areas that are otherwise difficult to utilize.

System Summary
• Ensures gentle handling of uncured and cured tires
• Fully automated to eliminate manual handling and human errors
