Ingersoll Rand, a world leader in creating and sustaining safe, comfortable and efficient environments, is revealing the latest additions to the IQV20 Series cordless tool line at SEMA 2013. The R3000 Series ratchets and D5140 drill/driver offer versatility, convenience and performance rarely seen in cordless tools.

The Ingersoll Rand R3130 3/8″ and R3150 1/2″ 20V cordless ratchet wrenches provide the power, portability and access users need for tight access jobs. These ratchets have a slim-line design to easily access narrow spaces, and are ideal for engine repairs and under-car work. The cordless ratchets deliver 54 ft-lb of torque to complete automotive repairs quickly. The R3000 Series ratchets are manufactured with the same durable heads as Ingersoll Rand air-powered ratchets, which are proven to stand up to tough bolts. In addition, the patent-pending metal and composite housing and all-metal gear train help the tool survive repeated drops on garage floors.

The durable D5140 drill/driver has an all-metal single-sleeved locking and ratcheting chuck with carbide inserts to keep the bit from deforming the drill/driver during tough applications. The D5140 has a 16-position clutch that gives users more control over drilling and fastening applications. The clutch enables the operator to apply the right speed and pressure to complete tasks without damaging surface areas. As a result, the D5140 can be used on any material — including metal, wood or plastic. The housing case protects the D5140 from breaking, as well as from corrosive fluids and chemicals commonly found in automotive environments.

The R3000 ratchets and D5140 drill/driver round out the powerful IQV20 Series 20V cordless line, which includes the W7150 1/2″ high-torque Impactool, W5130 3/8″ mid-torque Impactool and L5110 LED task light. Recently, Ingersoll Rand released four IQV20 Series combination tool kits to make it easier for technicians to invest in the cordless tool line.

The IQV20 Series tools are powered by a 20V lithium-ion battery with an intelligent power management system. This state-of-the-art technology controls and coordinates power flow between the battery, switch and motor, and maximizes system efficiency and runtime. Most of the IQV20 Series tools share batteries and chargers, so technicians can have a freshly charged battery on hand.

“All cordless tools offer freedom from electrical cords and air hoses — but most fail to deliver the hard-working power needed to get tough jobs done,” said Nathan Schmid, marketing manager – vehicle services, Ingersoll Rand. “The IQV20 Series cordless tools are different: Each is designed, built and tested to stand up to the everyday demands of professional technicians.”

Ingersoll Rand will have ratchet and drill/driver demonstrations set up in booth No. 10149, and attendees are invited to test the IQV20 Series tools throughout the show.
