Day 2 SEMA Show Highlights
Company: Sabelt, Booth #23561
Sabelt, an integral part of the Brembo Group, launched the new Sabelt Performance seat that offers a stylish, high-performance design featuring a lightweight fiberglass or carbon fiber shell that incorporates an optional 12-liter side air bag that adds another level of safety. In addition, the new seat has a 4-way adjuster and uses a “racing” composite backrest shell for lateral support. The backrest now includes internal brackets that retain the air bag and actuate movements without jeopardizing the design. This full customization is made possible because everything is designed and produced “personally” for every customer by Sabelt in Italy.

Company: Scosche Industries, Booth #11825
One of the biggest threats to road safety is the epidemic of cell phone usage while driving, especially among teens. Scosche Industries, an innovator in the automotive aftermarket industry, can help teens "drive right" with its new Safe Driving System, cellCONTROL that disables the distracting functions of a smartphone while driving. As the vehicle begins to move, cellCONTROL automatically connects to the user's phone via Bluetooth to enable phone calls with a hands-free device and completely disengages texting, emailing, web access and applications on a smartphone. Users can still play music from their phones. Scosche’s Safe Driving System easily connects to a vehicle’s OBD2 port and communicates with the smartphone in the vehicle.
Company: I-CAR, Booth #11083
I-CAR®, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, will hold a press conference concentrating on how I-CAR supports OEMs in building stronger collision repair network programs. An increasing number of leading vehicle manufacturers require the industry-recognized I-CAR Gold Class Professionals® designation, including Nissan/Infiniti, Chrysler, and Honda. Fifteen other vehicle manufacturers include the I-CAR Welding Qualification Series or other I-CAR training as a requirement for their network programs. More information on the announcements will be available on www.i-car.com
