New Brembo Club Racing Brake Kits Make Debut at 2012 SEMA Show
NEW BREMBO CLUB RACING BRAKE KITS
MAKE DEBUT AT 2012 SEMA SHOW
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 30, 2012 –Using its successes in the highest levels of road racing and the development of over 1,000 unique applications of brake kits, Brembo debuted a new range of complete kits born race-ready today at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The kits are available for all the most track oriented cars such as BMW M3, Dodge Viper, Ford Mustang, Subaru Impreza STI and BRZ, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII / IX, Scion FR-S and many Porsche models with more to come in the near future and are intended for motorsports competition and dedicated track cars.
The design of the new “race-ready” brake kits also meets or beats the requirements of numerous sanctioning bodies, including SCCA, NASA, Grand-Am, BMWCCA and PCA, among others.
The kits include:
- NEW cast racing caliper with hard-anodized finish to improve resistance to thermal and mechanical stresses typical in the racing world. During the design stage, particular attention was paid to obtaining the best ratio of stiffness and weight reduction using special machining techniques.
- Brembo thermo tape on the caliper;
- type-3 groove assembled floating discs (from 332 to 355mm) with high thermal capacity and heat dissipation;
- caliper brackets;
- steel braided brake lines.
The kits are available through Brembo’s commercial partner Race Technologies, www.racetechnologies.com
Founded in 1961, Brembo began racing in 1975 when Enzo Ferrari entrusted the Bergamo-based, high-performance brake manufacturer with the task of fitting its most prestigious Formula One car. Since then, Brembo has been at the forefront of the motorsports arena, winning over 200 world championships.
