GoPro to Introduce HERO3 Camera Line to Automotive World during 2012 SEMA Show
SAN MATEO, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2012) – GoPro, the world’s most versatile camera, is stepping up its presence at the 2012 SEMA Show with a keynote by GoPro Founder and CEO Nick Woodman, several in-booth activities, including product introductions, celebrity autograph signings, product giveaways and more. Moving to a new location, GoPro will be found in Central Hall in booth number 20353.
Nick Woodman Keynote
GoPro Founder and CEO Nick Woodman will kick-off the Vehicle Technology Center discussions Tuesday,October 30 at noon with his keynote speech, sharing how his passion for racing fueled GoPro’s growth as a passion capture company. He will also touch on GoPro’s latest innovation, the new HERO3 camera. SEMA Show attendees are encouraged to stop by the Vehicle Technology Center in the Grand Lobby to hear Woodman speak.
Global RallyCross Sponsorship
For the first-time ever the Global RallyCross Championship is bringing its last event of the year to SEMA. As the Official Camera of the Global RallyCross Championship, GoPro will provide racing fans a “GoPro Course Preview,” giving viewers a firsthand look – from the driver’s perspective – at the obstacles the competitors must tackle while charging full-speed around the track. Spectators will have the opportunity to see superstars like GoPro’s sponsored driver Ken Block in high-energy, door-to-door rallycross

HERO3 Product Introduction
GoPro will officially introduce its newest, most technologically advanced line of cameras to the automotive world with the help of Global RallyCross racer Ken Block. SEMA Show attendees and media are invited to visit the GoPro booth (#20353 Central Hall) at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 31 to learn
more about the HERO3 line of cameras and how they can best be used in automotive applications.
Each camera in the HERO3 lineup features built-in Wi-Fi and is 30 percent smaller, 25 percent lighter and two times more powerful than previous GoPro models. The HERO3: Black Edition is capable of capturing ultra-wide angle HD video at 1080p-60 frames per second (fps), 1440p-48 fps, 720p-120 fps, 2.7Kp-30 fps and 4Kp-15 fps. The HERO3: Black Edition can also capture 12MP photos at a staggering rate of 30 photos per second. As part of the HERO3 line GoPro also introduced Silver and White editions to give consumers more opportunities to select the camera with the capabilities and price point that is right for them.
Celebrity Autograph Signings and Product Giveaways
Immediately following the introduction of the new HERO3 lineup, GoPro will begin its first celebrity autograph session with Ken Block from 10-10:30 a.m. Additionally, GoPro will give away a free HERO3: Black Edition each day of the show at 3 p.m. in the booth. Attendees must be present to win, and can sign-up by submitting their information in the GoPro booth earlier in the day.
