DEI Introduces New Protective Titanium Exhaust Wrap with LR Technology

AVON LAKE, OHIO…Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI), the leading manufacturer of thermal protection products in North America, has now utilized its proprietary LR Technology to develop a Titanium Exhaust Wrap. This new exhaust wrap with its titanium like appearance and strength and provides the best possible protection against extreme heat and “heat soak” that can damage vital underhood components and rob engine performance. The engine’s air intake is continually kept cooler, even at high RPMs for improved power and torque.

DEI’s exclusive LR Technology is what gives this wrap its titanium-like strength and carbon fiber appearance. Constructed from pulverized lava rock, the material is extruded into fibers and woven into a tight, highly durable weave. Still pliable, there is no need to wrap when wrapping headers or pipes to get a tighter wrap, and it is especially resistant to heat, chemicals, abrasions and contaminants. Typical glass fiber material is rated to withstand 1,200°F. DEI’s Titanium Exhaust Wrap handles direct heat up to 1,800°F, and radiant heat to 2,500°F.

Available in 1” and 2” widths and 15’ and 50’ lengths, Titanium Wrap will not shrink and DEI HT silicone coating and pre-wetting are not required. It is resistant to temperature variations and vibration break-down and is available for purchase in either a two-pack (part #010541), or eight-pack (part #010542) package.
