Nelson Marketing just released their latest additions to the Glass Bot™ accessory line of products.

Rick Nelson, Product Manager explains, “We have been developing an alternative to the metal wire being used for auto glass removal, and now have our SS Cutting Element (SSCE). It is 4x stronger than steel but feels like a soft cotton yarn. The SS Cutting Element is woven with super high strength material that is very strong.”

“Additional benefits are that the material does not offer a rigid surface and so eliminates the potential for paint, body, trim or molding damage.”

“We’ve also been in development for a smaller footprint Bot for quarter, back and overhead glass removal. Our new Glass Bot™ Lite gets the job done utilizing one of our Anchor/Pulley Cups to guide the SS Cutting Element, and a cordless drill to operate the winding function. The Glass Bot™ Lite tightens the SSCE to sever the adhesive and release the part with out damage. It really turned out to be a good little Bot and will be added to all of our Glass Bot™ Kits. The Glass Bot™ Lite using the SSCE has opened the possibility of removing body panel trims, moldings and emblems without paint damage. It will be especially beneficial in the auto recycling market for customer who want to pull glass parts themselves as the tool is very simple to use.”

Nelson Marketing manufactures the Glass Bot™, the first automated auto glass removal system. The Glass Bot™ is cordless and remotely controlled via six-foot cord and variable speed pistol grip controller, powered by an 18-volt lithium ion battery. “It does the work for you.” For more information please visit www.glassbot.net.
