Crane Cams Rocker Arm Shafts for Chrysler LA and B/RB V8’s
Designed and produced specifically as upgraded parts for the 1964–1991 Chrysler LA V8 and the 1958–1978 Chrysler B/RB V8 families of engines, these shafts are precision machined from heavy wall seamless steel tubing, heat treated and carburized, then centerless ground. All bolt holes and oil holes are chamfered, reducing the possibility of stress cracking, and promoting oil dispersal. The heavy wall thickness will also reduce the possibility of distortion in the event that the hold down bolts are excessively torqued. End plugs are also installed. These are sold as pairs, for one complete engine assembly.
These shafts have standard dimensions for use as replacement parts, and can also be used with the Crane adjustable ductile iron rocker arms (part numbers 69770-16 1.5:1 ratio, and 69771-16 1.6:1 ratio) for the LA engines, and (part numbers 64770-16 1.5:1 ratio, and 64771-16 1.6:1 ratio) for the B/RB engines.
These shafts are included in the Crane roller tip aluminum rocker arm kits (part number 69790-1 1.5:1 ratio, and 69791-1 1.6:1 ratio) for the LA engines, and (part numbers 64790-1 1.5:1 ratio, 64791-1 1.6:1 ratio for standard heads, and 64792-1 1.5:1 ratio, 64793-1 1.6:1 ratio for Stage IV, V, and VI heads) for the B/RB engines.
