Toyo Tires Reveals 4th Display Vehicle for 2011 SEMA Show, The D3 Group 1,001-Horsepower Le Monstre CTS-V Coupe
CYPRESS, CALIFORNIA – It’s official, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has announced the fourth and final vehicle to be displayed in their booth (#43097) at the 2011 SEMA Show -- Le Monstre, a one-of-a-kind 2012 CTS-V Coupe from renowned Cadillac tuner, The D3 Group. Featuring a sinister matte black wrap by Wraptivo and a custom wide-body, Le Monstre will roll on 275/30ZR20 and 345/25ZR20 Toyo Proxes T1R UHP summer tires.
Le Monstre gets its power from a 427 CID engine fed by a 3.6L supercharger system cranking out a monstrous 1,001-horsepower and 1,000 lb. ft. of torque. This special edition Cadillac is constructed using every aspect of The D3 Group’s technical expertise including their competition track ready suspension and upgraded chassis. The D3 Le Monstre is a tribute to the 1950 Cadillac Coupe Series 61 (that car dubbed Le Monstre by the French media), which competed in the 1950 24 Hours of LeMans, piloted by American driver Briggs Cunningham. The D3 Le Monstre Cadillac is not a mere tribute car built just for show purposes. This American super coupe will turn heads as it competes in Time Attack during 2012 road racing season.
The D3 Cadillac Tuning Program is the world’s only full line tuning program for Cadillac. D3 cars are known for delivering startling amounts of horsepower with incredible performance. Many of the company’s tuned Cadillac vehicles use Toyo Proxes UHP tires to optimize their level of performance which is well beyond many of today’s muscle machines.
“We are excited to debut Le Monstre in our SEMA Show booth,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “The addition of this remarkable D3 Cadillac helps demonstrate the quality, performance capabilities, and diverse range of fitments manufactured into our line of Toyo tires.”
In addition to The D3 Le Monstre, the Toyo Tires booth will debut three other vehicles. The WALD F10 Black Bison, a tuned 2011 BMW 5 Series by Wald International of Japan will be equipped with 20-inch Toyo Proxes T1 Sport UHP summer tires. Truck enthusiasts can view the Street Concepts Ford F-150 Raptor equipped with 20-inch Toyo Open Country M/Ttires while featuring a ‘Snow Camo’ vehicle wrap. Also in the booth is the Toyo Tires Ultimate Ride Sweepstakes custom Dodge Durango Heat Edition 4x4 outfitted with 22-inch Toyo Proxes ST II high performance tires.
