Bonding Solutions Introduces New Turbo Pad That Cleans, Degreases and Abrades In One Step
Salt Lake City, UT 9/30/11 – Bonding Solution has introduced the Like90 Turbo Pad for Bumpers. The Turbo Pad is a custom scuff pad that is pre-saturated with a patented abrasive prepping gel. Preparing unprimed bumpers for painting is a complicated and time consuming process. By allowing the technician to simultaneously clean, degrease and abrade, the Turbo Pad simplifies the process and saves time and money. It also creates a more comprehensive scratch which results in better paint adhesion. The Turbo Pad is VOC and residue free.
According to Bill Kernahan, Bonding Solution’s Marketing Manager, prepping bumpers and other plastic parts has been problematic. “The process is complicated and error-prone, often requiring annealing of the part and using various products to perform numerous cleaning and degreasing steps.” said Kernahan. “Using the Turbo Pad eliminates the need for baking and combines cleaning, degreasing and abrading into one step. Simplifying the process means less time and fewer mistakes.”
The Turbo Pad is designed to be single use and comes individually packaged. This ensures a consistent process and allows it to be tracked and charged to the repair for reimbursement. The Turbo Pad leaves no residue, a major cause of paint failure.
