Legendary racecar driver and owner Parnelli Jones, and Creations n’ Chrome’s 2012 Ford Mustang GT, are teaming up to get the word out about ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). The customized Mustang will be making its debut at the Ford Motor Co. booth 22200. Creations n’ Chrome will once again be returning to SEMA where they won the 2010 Best in Show award for last year’s entry

The inspiration for the car and the campaign ‘Rev Up to Defeat ALS’ resulted when Carey Hall of Hall’s Motor Sports and a member of Sarah Fisher’s pit crew was diagnosed with the disease in 2010.

The red chrome-finished Mustang will serve as the centerpiece for an 18-month campaign designed to raise funds and awareness for The ALS Association. The money will be used to improve care for those suffering with the disease and to help find a cure.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is currently an incurable, neuromuscular disease that robs people of the ability to walk, talk, swallow, and breathe while their mental capacity remains intact. This paralysis will ultimately take their lives.

Parnelli Jones, the campaign’s celebrity spokesman, will be appearing at the Ford Motor Co booth on November 1st where he will meet fans and sign autographs.
