Introducing Lead-Free Solder Terminals & Connectors

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., July 28, 2015 – Del City announces the addition of the new and improved Lead-Free Solder Terminals and Connectors to its product line, coming fall 2015. This innovative addition to the product line will be offered in Shrink Tube & Solder and Shrink Tube, Crimp & Solder varieties. The advantages of Lead-Free Solder include no hazardous materials (RoHS compliant), lower melt temperature (138°C vs 145°C), and greater surface tension. The improved surface tension allows the solder stays in place, providing greater tensile strength and a cleaner installation, as solder is less likely to run out of the tubing.

These engineered products are designed, tested, and built to meet the stringent requirements of the boating, emergency, and commercial vehicle industries. Overall, Del City has added over 90 Blue Sea Systems items, including over 40 rugged bus bars.

$500 Cleo award will be presented at the SEMA Show 2015

Malcolm Johnson, CEO of ColorBond Automotive Finishes is pleased to announce the second annual Cleo Interior Restoration Crystal Trophy and $ 500 to be presented at the 2015 SEMA Show

The Cleo Crystal trophy and $ 500 is awarded to an individual who has shown excellence utilizing ColorBond finishes to restore the interior of any type of automobile including, trucks, muscle cars, classics, hot rods and antiques. This years winning entrant will exhibit the vehicle in the ColorBond booth at SEMA. The winner of the Cleo will be announced in September.

Leo Kagan celebrates 50 years as a SEMA member and turns 99 years old

Leo Kagan, will be celebrating his 50th year as a SEMA member and attende at the 2015 SEMA show.

New Distributor Program for Silent Running

Silent Running’s new distributor program will be introduced at this year’s SEMA show.

Insulation manufacturers, Silent Running has finalized their new distribution program to provide distributors with a hands on display stand, literature, and marketing support. The company plans to increase their distribution network within the next year to allow for easier shipments to customers. The new distributor page allows customers to easily get in contact with their local distributors and and information tab for potential distributors to find out more about the opportunity.

Aussie solar car startup to showcase at SEMA 2015

Melbourne­based electric vehicle technology startup
EVX ( has announced it will be exhibiting its scaled down model custom
solar car and spin­off technologies at the world’s largest automotive speciality parts trade show
in the world, the SEMA Show 2015 at Las Vegas Convention Center, USA in November.

EVX is a collaboration with the leading electric vehicle R&D group at Swinburne University of
Technology and experienced local engineers who have designed and produced award winning
solar racing cars. The engineering team at EVX is led by electric vehicle expert Dr Clint Steele.

Co­-Founder & CEO of EVX Barry Nguyen said “Without government funding so far, we have
made significant progress in our R&D and getting closer to turn our ambitious vision into a
reality. With the strong leadership of Dr Clint Steele, we have succeeded in keeping our

Bosch launches its first-ever performance gauges line in North America with responsive design website

Bosch announces the launch of the company’s first-ever performance gauge line, bringing contemporary style and design to tachometers, pressure, temperature, hour meters, gauge cases and accessories. Available at most automotive retailers, Bosch will offer analog gauges in 2-inch sizes for restoration, custom projects or direct replacements. The gauges line is accompanied by a new, responsive design website,, highlighting the gauges and accessories for custom applications.
