AEM Introduces Front Strut Tower Bar for 2013 Scion FR-S & 2013 Subaru BRZ

The AEM FR-S/BRZ strut tower bar features large diameter thin wall tube for excellent strength to weight ratio. All AEM strut tower bars are a completely welded structure custom fit for each application. The strut tower bar provided additional rigidity to the strut towers while the car is driven aggressively through turns. The installation of the strut tower bar is very simple and can be performed with simple hand tools and all of the OEM mount points are retained.

In the case of the FR-S it was noted that the brake master cylinder moved significantly when the brakes were applied in competition. AEM incorporated a brake master cylinder brace onto the strut tower bar. The addition of the brace increased the brake pedal firmness and most importantly, made braking performance much more predictable. The addition of the brace also eliminates the need to purchase a separate, often expensive billet brace.

Colorful PPG SEMA Exhibit Features Elite Painters, Cars, Bikes and New Products

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – October 23, 2013 – Visitors to this year’s SEMA show--November 5-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center--will have plenty of good reasons to head over to the PPG exhibit in booth 24501.

PPG is pulling out all the stops and bringing in the top painters from the custom car, motorcycle and drag racing worlds, exhibiting radically painted cars and motorcycles, and displaying spectacular artwork by more than 30 talented automotive artists. Following on from the success of the 9000 Series twin disc kits for the Corvette, Mantic announces the release of the 2013 Camaro range.

This kit follows the Mantic philosophy that the “direct fit” kit should be able to go straight in to a vehicle, without the need to measure anything, to set up the clutch to fit it.

The new Camaro kit also features a new flywheel design to match the fine tolerances that the Mantic range is manufactured to.

“This flywheel features a new machined drive block locator groove, special weight revisions for smoother driving operation, and an integral ring gear,” Chris Astbury, Mantic Sales Manager said.

“We are offering the new flywheel as standard in our organic disc kits, because the extra weight offers a smoother driving experience, especially where a big camshaft is fitted to the car.”
