Hot Rod Alley
Slamstop is designed to silently and mechanically close a partially open car door to ensure maximum safety, and it is compatible with all vehicle makes and models. Previously available on only high-end vehicles as part of a luxury package or factory option, Slamstop works with all standard driver and passenger doors as well as sliding doors. Slamstop uses a unique sensor that automatically monitors when a vehicle’s door reaches a specific distance from the car frame. As soon as the space is detected, a sensor is triggered and transfers the information to the Slamstop operating system to close the door the remainder of the way. St. Paul, Minn. – (October 1, 2014) – 3M Commercial Solutions’ addition of 18 new unique colors to the 3MTM Wrap Film Series 1080 line provides graphics installers with even more power to design vehicles that incite jaw-dropping reactions. With the addition of bold new colors like Satin Canyon Copper and Sheer Luck Green, graphics installers can now choose from 75 of the most innovative colors and finishes in the industry.
“3M is committed to listening to our customers, and when they asked for more unique options, the 3M team worked hard to create these new colors,” said Doug Blackwell, Business Development Manager, 3M. “These new, dynamic colors – like my personal favorite, Gloss Black Rose – will help expand graphics installers’ imaginations and allow them to offer even more design options for their clients.”
Jeep JKs are some of the most popular off road vehicles on the planet. The only problem is that they’re light on room to accessorize them. When it comes to installing big, loud, nasty train horns – size almost always matters most. That is, until the TrailBlaster™ bolt-on dual air horn kit from Kleinn Air Horns arrived. Jeepers with this system constantly tell us that they can’t believe the amount of sound that comes out of their horns! The system uses a small-but-potent air compressor and a 0.66 gallon air tank, which are mated to a purpose-built, made in USA bracket that fits into factory locations in the rear chassis area of 2007-2014 Jeep JKs. The TrailBlaster™ requires no cutting, welding or drilling and is able to be installed using simple hand tools. The kit features a second bracket that is also made in the USA that allows our XCR2.0 corrosion-resistant Model 101 horns to be bolted to a factory location at the charcoal canister.
New from Kleinn Air Horns is our forward-thinking, forward-installation, expandable Ford Onboard Air System for 2009-2014 Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor. It is intended for all F-150 models except EcoBoost™. The system features a 100% duty cycle air compressor and 3-gallon, multi-port air tank. The system is expandable with an option for a second air compressor to double the system’s already quick tank refill rate. The system uses a custom 11-gauge steel, powder-coated bracket that is made in the USA, The system mounts securely between the front frame rails, and just in front of the radiator of the Ford F-150 using ¾-inch hardened steel bolts. Its compact design allows all parts of the system to exist in the same space, without using any cargo space whatsoever. Wiring for the system is simple, with an included custom-fit wiring harness that only requires a few basic connections. Installation time for this system is fast, at approximately one hour.

Avon Lake, OH (October 8, 2014)…Stainless steel locking ties are commonly used in many different automotive applications. Both light and strong they can take a lot of abuse but are finicky to work with especially for the average guy who doesn’t use them every day.
DEI has developed an effective tool to tighten stainless steel locking ties. This tool saves time and hassle while providing a professional looking result. Simply slide the tool on the end of any ¼” nut driver, engage the tie, and twist. This gets the tie nice and secure without the hassle.
DEI’s Locking Tie Tool will fit on the end of any standard ¼” drive extension so working in tight spaces is not a problem. This specialty tool works with all popular styles of stainless ties - up to ½” wide.
Made with hardened tool steel and black oxide coated for years of trouble free use this is one specialty tool no tool box should be without.
