Las Vegas, Nevada (Oct. 29, 2012) – According to AAA, experts predict that 37 million Americans will be age 65 or older by the year 2020, and at least 90 percent of them will be licensed to drive. As with any large group of drivers on the road, there will be accidents and collision repairs.
Las Vegas, NV - October 29, 2012 - The Automotive Body Parts Association (ABPA) encourages this year’s attendees of the AAPEX/SEMA Shows to become members of the Quality Parts Coalition (QPC). Representing the interests of all industry segments of the automotive collision repair industry, the QPC seeks to secure a permanent legislative change to the U.S. design patent law to preserve competition and to ensure the availability of quality alternative collision repair parts for consumers.

Achievements made by the QPC are part of the collective global effort to ensure free competition in the collision parts industry. QPC’s sister organization, the European Campaign for the Freedom of the Automotive Parts and Repair Market (ECAR), has in turn made progress this year working toward the same mission.
